Montana added 41 new COVID-19 cases to the total on Montana Response’s COVID-19 monitoring map on Monday, with 1,244 cases reported as active.
Note: The numbers reported by the state each day sometimes differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic delays in submitting data to the state. MTN News counts up-to-date data that individual counties report throughout a given day.
- TOTAL CASES AND RECOVERIES: Montana Now Reports 3,381 cumulative cases statewide, with 2,090 People recovered.
- HOSPITALIZATIONS There are currently 61 hospitalized patients. Has been 201 hospitalizations for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
- ACTIVE CASES: The state reports that there is currently 1,244 active cases of COVID-19 in Montana.
- TESTS: The number of tests increased by 6,340 during the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new state cumulative total of 158,655.
- DEAD: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is 47.
On July 15, Governor Steve Bullock announced a state directive requiring face masks / masks in Montana. The directive applies to counties that have four or more active COVID-19 cases.
The directive requires that masks be worn in most indoor settings and where social distancing cannot be maintained. Bullock said companies will have the right to deny entry to anyone who does not wear a mask.
