For some students in the Mahomet-Seymour district, the school will soon be out of town.
Superintendent Lindsay Hall said Monday that the eight tents ordered by the district have arrived and plans to put up two of the district’s four schools by the end of Tuesday.
The news comes three days after district families learned that a Lincoln Trail elementary teacher and a Middletown Prairie elementary student had tested positive for Covid-19.
As of Friday, it remained the only known active case in the district. As many as 18 people remained unaccounted for as of Friday, due to exposure to the student and teacher who tested positive.
The number of cases recovered in Champion County on Monday has risen to 463 – possibly U.I.I. The students recovered after testing positive for Covid-1 last month.
The CU Public Health District reported Monday that there are now 492 active and 2,361 recovered cases in the countywide.
Meanwhile, of the 12,886 new tests in the county, 67 came positive on Monday, a rate of 0.5 percent.
Champion County’s seven-day positivity rate fell to 0.7 percent from 0.8 percent.
Were admitted to the hospital on the third day when the total number of tests reached close to 300,000 (299,792).

Residents in their 20s and 70s reported new cases in Vermillion County on Monday in the 370th and 371st.
There are also 57 active cases in the county with two cases being moved to the Columns recovered / published on Monday.
Four residents have been hospitalized with COVID-19, Vermeulen County Health Department Administrator Doug Toole said.

Pyat County Transportation has announced that the driver has tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee last worked Wednesday, and was tested on Saturday after experiencing mild symptoms.
“We are confident that all protocols for PPE were followed, so there is minimal risk for our riders and staff,” said Jamie Tribom, director of Pittran. “We’ve reached out to anyone who rode with that driver on Tuesday or Wednesday.”
He said the driver is not a resident of Pyat County.
PITTRN drivers wear masks, and social distance requirements on buses have been seen since the Covid-19 outbreak began.
The service will continue, but with a “majority of precautions,” Tribom said rides scheduled for Tuesday for people in the high-risk health category are being canceled.
“Make sure we do our best to update you if the situation changes. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible with any health or safety concerns, ”he said in a statement.

Of the 28,975 new tests nationwide, 1,381 returned positive on Monday, a rate of 8.4 percent.
The state’s seven-day positivity rate is now 4.5 per cent on the day it crosses the 250,000 mark for total confirmed cases (250,961).

Of the 14,841 tests on campus Thursday, 88 new cases came out, according to new data provided by the University of Illinois.
The seven-day positivity rate on campus was 1.1 percent, although the Labor Day weekend average is yet to be added.
Since students began admissions on August 16, there have been 1,420 new cases reported.
Since classes began on August 24, there have been 1,138 new cases reported.

Students from Cerro Gordo High School will be moved to distance learning at least until September 21 after seven people there tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. Four cases were reported on Thursday and Friday, along with three others over the weekend.
Will continue to teach individually in elementary and junior high schools.
“We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for your child and our staff. To accomplish that, we all need help when you’re out in public: please wear a mask indoors, keep social distance, and wash or sanitize your hands frequently, ”the district posted on its website and social media on Sunday.
Continuing the announcement, “We thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation with your Covid prevention policies and procedures, as we help protect your children, your families and our staff and their families.”
The publication also said that we will continue our constant monitoring of students and staff to evaluate the signs and symptoms of the disease and reports of illness to immediately identify the possibility of an outbreak in the district. The school district is coordinating efforts with the Divit-Piat bi-county health department to identify individuals who have recently made contact with the Covid-19 positive individuals to prevent further spread of the virus in the school and community.
