Mohamed Salah has explained that his brief fight with Sadio Mane during Liverpool’s win over Burnley was not a fight, and how Jurgen Klopp helped convince him to join the club in 2017.
In an interview with BeIN Sports about what it’s like to be a Premier League champion, Salah was asked about the duo’s downfall on the field last August.
Mane was frustrated after his teammate chose to shoot rather than place it on Turf Moor when the Reds led 3-0 late.
After being replaced, Mane looked furious, but then revealed that the couple quickly resolved their small dispute.

On what happened in the win over Burnley earlier in the season, Salah again explained: “It was not a fight.
“Everyone wants to help Liverpool win and support other teammates.”
“Sometimes we get mad in the game, but that ended immediately and the game after we helped each other and helped Liverpool with our goals and assists.”
The pair sorted things out in no time, and brilliantly went on to score what is now a combined total of 32 goals and 14 assists in a league-winning season, which notably has seven more games to play.
Salah also revealed how Klopp managed to nullify his concerns and persuade him to move out of Rome three years ago.
He added: “When I was about to sign for Liverpool, I was worried because he was playing in my position and that made me worry about playing more frequently, but [Jurgen] Klopp personally explained to me that Mane will play on the other side. “
