Google’s image processing algorithms have been widely praised, and that’s why modified Google Camera apps are sought after by smartphone camera enthusiasts. The Google Camera version 8.0, introduced with the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4 5G, stored useful features – such as storage saver mode – that eventually turned into the older Pixels with v8.1. Now, developers have released a modified version of Google Camera 8.1 that works even on devices without pixels.

The PX Mode V8.1 comes from developer Urnex 05, who built it based on Google Camera 8.1.008. This means you should be able to try out new features like Cinematic Pan and Audio Dio Zoom on your non-non-pixel device.
