Imagine hitting a towering 400-foot grand slam in an MLB game … and SUPPLEMENT FOR IT?!?!
Fernando Tatis Jr. did just that Monday night … with the bizarre scene that made baseball purists CRAZY over the 21-year-old !!
Here’s the deal … the San Diego Padres were 10-4 over the Texas Rangers in the 8th inning when Tatis Jr. was up 3-0 for a count.
Padres manager Jayce Tingler says he instructed Tatis Jr. to take the next pitch and NOT increase the score … but the shortstop says he missed the sign of coach, and the baseball jumped to the moon !!
The homer was SICK – it traveled more than 400 feet and was the 2nd of the night for Tatis Jr. … he gave him a total of 7 RBIs – but EVERYONE was apparently pissed on the Padre before that.

View the footage of the field … Manager of Rangers Chris Woodward was furious – and when Tatis Jr. came back on his own bench, you can tell that his teammates were not happy either.
Finally, Tatis Jr. says. That he was sorry he hit the home team … and said he would probably take the field next time instead of crushing it and stacking on runes.

“Those experiences, you had to learn from them,” said Tatis jr. “I’ll probably take a pitch next time now that I’ve learned from it.”
The manager of Tatis Jr. added, “He’s young, a free spirit and straight and all that stuff, and that’s the last thing we’ll ever take. But that’s a learning opportunity, that’s it and he will grow out of it.”
In fact, the Rangers were so pissed off over the swing of Tatis Jr. … she almost beat the next San Diego seizure, Manny Machado, with a fastball in revenge.
The Rangers threw just behind a Padres hitter because the previous hitter (Fernando Tatis Jr.) beat a grandmother at 3-0.
Here’s a thought: what about learning how to not give up 14 runes and not give up 7 RBI to a child who can barely legally buy a beer. pic.twitter.com/y68zDQW8dS

Of course, other baseball players advised after the defense of Tatis Jr. … said the unwritten MLB rule should be abolished – and the guy should keep swinging, no matter what.
‘Hee [Fernandon] listen to, ”Reds star pitcher Trevor Bauer said of the controversy. “1) Keep weighing 3-0 if you want to, no matter what the game situation is 2) Keep hitting homers no matter what the situation is”
“3) Keep bringing energy and flash to baseball and making it fun 4) The only thing you did wrong was apologize. Stop that.”
