Just like last year, I’ll provide a stack review for the main roster, as well as viable subboards with at least two games on file. Some of these shortboard options will be good for the full game set, others will be more inconsistent and more suitable for mini-game sets.

Top MLB DFS Whiteboard Picks
St. Louis Cardinals vs. HRP Trevor williams – 5.0 implicit executions
Yes, you can absolutely play the Boston Red Sox, but where’s the fun of writing about them? RHP Alex Cobb He made just three starts last year after suffering a hip injury. He is not good.
Now let’s see the Redbirds at home against RHP Trevor williams. Yes, St. Louis disappointed on Friday, but now we have a one-day game with temperatures between 90 and 90 degrees and 60% humidity, also known as home run weather. While Williams has allowed a 1.2 HR / 9 over his last 1,300 batters batted, it’s almost 40% fly ball and 30% hard hit rates that are intriguing.
Most Cardinals regulars have had success against Williams in the past. This should not be surprising since they are well outlined against you. Last year, Williams struck out just 12.5% of lefties. The trio of Kolten Wong, Matt Carpenter and Tommy Edman they all work well against Williams’ fastball 55% of the time against hitters from the opposite hand.
Paul Goldschmidt and Paul DeJong both thrive against fastballs and sliders that account for 70% of Williams’ throwing mix for hitters with the same hand. Don’t be deterred by a pedestrian exit, return to the Cardinals on Saturday.
MLB DFS Chalkboard Afternoon Picks
Houston Astros vs. RHP Taijuan walker – 6.0 implicit executions
Returning to the team where his career started, RHP Taijuan walker He will face off against an Astros giant on Saturday. Walker is talented and when healthy he hits almost a batter per inning. This problem is that he is rarely healthy and has pitched just 14.0 MLB innings in the past two seasons.
When healthy, Walker leans on his 94 MPH fastball 60% tie and a free trade 15% of the time and every fourth pitch is a kind of ball that breaks without much consistency. Most projection systems have Walker with a 1.5-1.6 HR / 9 which is well above his run rate of 1.2 HR / 9.
The usual suspects are all up for grabs with the top five in the Houston order. If you’re looking for differentiation, then the bottom third should have a good chance of hitting the plate with someone from the heart of the order at the base.
Evening Slate MLB DFS Picks
Cincinnati Reds vs. RHP Ivan Nova – 5.4 implicit careers
This is another phenomenal weather spot as it will be on Saturday afternoon in the low 90’s at the Great American SmallPark (which never goes out of style). The Reds are well positioned to take advantage of the universal designated hitter rule with Nick Castellanos Jesse Winker, Matt Davidson and of course Joey Votto You can get a day off from the field as needed.
In the past two seasons, RHP Ivan Nova He has allowed 56 home runs, which is the 10th most in the league. The mix is 31 for lefties and 25 for righties. They are all at stake with the preferred order of preference considering price, position, projections and popularity. Mike Moustakas, Nick Castellanos, Eugino Suares, Matt Davidson, Jesse Winker, Joey Votto, Freddy galvis and Phillip Ervin.
Late Slate MLB DFS Picks
San Diego Padres vs. LHP Ray Robbie– 4.5 implicit runs
We can play on both sides of it, since the Diamondbacks left-hander could strike out 7+ as he did in 20 of 33 starts last season or could allow multiple home runs as he did ten times. Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr. Tommy Pham and Wil Myers should be our core four as a late blackboard option. They are rare or reasonable pairs on all-day blackboards for differentiation.
