MLB DFS Main-Slate Picks
Tampa Bay Rays vs. RHP Trent Thornton – 5.0 implicit rune
From the look of things as I write this article on Saturday night, it looks like RHP Trent Thornton will be the leading man on Sunday. He was pursued early on from his last appearance which just got two outs. Philadelphia picked him up and flattened all six of the rounds that were based with just one strikeout.
Through his 31 starts and three relief appearances in The Show, Thornton has suffered a 5.09 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. Most gamers tend to just forget how pesky the Devil Rays really are against rights. Austin Meadows, Brandon Lowe en Ji-Man Choi are the trio to focus on Sunday with their collective .240+ ISO over the last two plus seasons.
Jager Renfroe has light Tower Power against lefties and righties, plus we can watch rookie Yoshitomo Tsutsugo, especially on DraftKings where he’s just $ 2,600. Double bonus there, because he is eligible for both the hot corner and in the outfield.
MLB DFS Mid-afternoon lead selection
Minnesota Twins by LHP Kris Bubic – 5.4 implied runs
Welcome to another episode of Theater for Small Size. Today’s installment looks at how the Minnesota Twins have managed just six home games this season in 294 plate appearances against southpaws. They are also LAST with a .100 ISO. Fortunately, we know exactly where their production comes from!
Youngster LHP Kris Bubic has allowed a 5.12 ERA with four home runs in just 19.1 innings trained this season. Let’s give him credit for the strikeout per inning, but would you like to have a side with a talented 23-year-old southpaw, as a team that set the MLB home track record last season?
Nelson Cruz got the night on Saturday, but do not worry about the 40-year-old slugger. This season he has a .333 / .418 / .656 triple slashline with nine home games. In his last 337 right / left matches he has posted a .384 ISO. Mitch Garver en Miguel Sano both have topped the .240+ ISO mark against Southpaws since the start of the 2018 season.
Round things out with Byron Buxton, Max Kepler, Luis Arraez and the batjong and thank me later! Apologies, I was reminded that I missed Garver and Buxton about the IL. Add Marwin Gonzales if he has to keep a prime lineup spot and he’s reasonably priced across the board.

Late-Slate Picks from MLB
Los Angeles Dodgers Vs. RHP Antonio Senzatela – 5.8 implicit runs
For our purpose for late lay we have RHP Antonio Senzatela who has the second worst strikeout and walking speed of the ten starting pitchers. While he does a good job of keeping the ball on the ground with 50 GB% over the course of his last 246.0 innings at the height, this is a juggernaut offense going against him.
Behind Senzatela is a pretty shaky bullshit, so we shouldn’t feel ashamed participating in The Masses while roasting the boys in blue. Look to the left first Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, Joc Pederson en Mookie Betts be the desired options. I want you out then Justin Turner en Chris Taylor tend to be above average in right / right situations.
