Greetings, Gamers! We’re back with a main game of nine games on your favorite DFS sites.
Similar to last year, I will be providing a review of one stack for each of the day’s layouts. Some of these options with short layouts will be good for the full-game set, others will be more contrasting and better suited for the mini-game sets.

MLB DFS Main-Slate Picks
Chicago White Sox by RHP Michael Fulmer – 5.0 implicit rune
We have seen that Fulmer can hold his own against same-handed hitters. Now we’ll want to remember that he missed last year after Tommy John’s surgery. The upside according to him is that could also heal his knee, and he is back to his mechanics for pre-injury. In his only appearance this season, he went 47 pitches. Monday, he is expected to go about the same as the opener.
In his last 261 right / right matchups, Fulmer held his own with a 1.03 HR / 9 and 20.7% strikeout. Against lefties, it has been a different story, with the last 311 fighters starting a 1.83 HR / 9 with an 18.7% strikeout and 9.0% walk rate.
Switch hitters Yoan Moncada en Yasmani Grandal since the start of the 2018 season, everyone has a .210+ ISO against rights. Lefty Nomar Mazara has a .191 ISO in the same time frame. We can look after Eloy Jimenez, Jose Abreu en Edwin Encarnacion as healthy as running things out with fullbacks. While it’s a small sample size, rookie Luis Robert has also been phenomenal.
Coors Field Extravaganza
Arizona Diamondbacks by RHP Jon Gray – 5.5 implicit runes
Over the course of his last 175.0 Coors Field innings, Gray was excellent, allowing only 22 home points with a baseball speed of 52.6% and a strike rate of 23.5%. He has actually been unhappy with a 3.52 xFIP compared to a 4.22 ERA. We’ll have to get some line-ups or gap hits when Gray is on the mound, and then the bullpen is obviously a bottom-10 group by most metrics.
David Peralta en Jake Lamb have wrestled this season with four combined extra base hits in 75 at bat. This has led to some serious price reductions, especially on DraftKings. Frontline hitters Ketel Marte en Starling Marte are the main batters to focus on Monday. There is no need to force in Diamondbacks, however Kole Calhoun, Christian Walker en Eduardo Escobar are pretty cheap to be in the thin Denver air.
Colorado Rockies vs. LHP Robbie Ray – 6.1 implicit rune
While Ray averaged 94 pitches over his three appearances, the results were costly. Two starts ago, he allowed a career-high six walks, and he has 11 over his 13.1 innings. The strikeouts have been there with 17 in total, but he has allowed six home games. In the end, he didn’t score a single ground ball in two of his starts.
Nolan Arenado got a day off on Sunday, and he is our top priority. Through his last 417 right / lefty matchups, he has a .444 wOBA / .329 ISO, which rivals teammates Trevor Story, which has a .424 /.312 over his last 401-plate appearances against opposing pitchers. They’re both over $ 6,000 on DraftKings, which is good to see. On Yahoo they are $ 19 and $ 25 respectively, and on FanDuel they both check in at $ 4,200. Matt Kemp will be our next goal, but he does not offer much pricing outside of FanDuel. Next, mix and match the lefties as you see fit, as it will be a shock if Ray makes it through the fourth inning. It should be noted that Arizona has just two lefties in their bullpen.
Late-Slate Picks from MLB
Oakland Athletics by RHP Julio Tehran – 5.5 implicit runes
Update: No penalty has been announced yet for Sunday’s OAK / HOU kerfuffle.
After recovering from COVID-19, Tehran made its 52-stage debut against Seattle. For years, the DFS’s call has been to take batters who turn the stick from the left side of the plate against Tehran. Things are quite normal. If you look at his last 1,400 combined fighters, lefties have an interest rate of 15.8% and right now have a slight power advantage.
Light power abounds with Athletics, and there is no shortage of options. Look first at the heart of the order Matt Olson, Matt Chapman en Ramon Laureano all above a .220 ISO above the last two seasons against rights. Mark Canha, Khris Davis en Marcus Semien are also not slouches, although they are a level down from the first trio. On the late lay Robbie Grossman en Stephen Piscotty are your differentiation options at the bottom of the setup.
