The Arizona Diamondbacks will begin their abbreviated schedule for the 2020 season on July 24 at Petco Park in San Diego to face the Padres at 6:10 p.m.
The D-back’s first home game is July 30 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Major League Baseball announced the team’s schedule on Monday for a 60-game season that dropped from the normal 162 games due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It had previously been revealed that schedules would be regionally based and that each team would play 40 games against their division enemies and 20 interleague games against the corresponding division. For example, the Diamondbacks will play 20 games against teams from the American League West division.
Before the season, teams are playing Spring Training 2.0 in their own stadiums, and up to three exhibition games can be scheduled against other teams before opening day. The D-backs have two against the Dodgers in mid-July.
