Support Miocic and Daniel Cormier should both have trouble controlling their left eye after their heavyweight title trilogy match at UFC 252 on Saturday.
MMA Junkie received the full list from the Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday. Fighters may return earlier than the duration of their suspension as determined by a physician.
Miocic (20-3 MMA, 14-3 UFC) and Cormier (22-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) had a fierce five-round fight in the headliner of the event at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, with Miocic dying. t hold the belt. A second-round eyeball on Cormier apparently squinted his cornea, and that’s one of the problems “DC” will have to check after the fight. Miocic, meanwhile, is also needed for eye examination.
Outside of the main event, bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley (12-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) sees the longest medical suspension. He injured his leg in a TKO loss of the first round in the co-main event, and his ankle will need to be removed, otherwise he is out until February 2021.
