Millard schools report 2 new cases; 54 new cases in Douglas County


(WOWT) – Here’s a summary of new cases and other COVID-19 stats reported today by health officials in Nebraska and Iowa.

2 new cases at Millard School District

Millard Public Schools on Monday confirmed two more positive cases of COVID-19 in the neighborhood.

According to an MPS spokesperson, one case is at Norris Elementary and the other is at Millard South High School.

“The school communities have been informed and the schools have been cleaned and sanitized,” the MPS spokeswoman said in an email.

The report comes five days after two positive cases were reported at Regan Elementary and just before the council meeting Monday night.

19 new cases in Lincoln

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Department of Health reported 19 new cases of COVID-19.

The total community is now 3,486.

The death toll remains at 19.

54 new cases in Douglas County

The Douglas County Department of Health on Sunday reported 54 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the area to 12,180.

No additional deaths were reported Monday. The death toll from COVID-19 in Douglas County remains at 143.

There have been 8,206 inhabitants to recover from the coronavirus.
