On her sobriety
At one point, the interview turned to Cyrus’ health topic. Fans will remember, Cyrus talked about living a healthy life earlier this year.
“It’s a decision to make,” Cyrus was asked how difficult it was to recover. “When I want to do something, I do it and there’s no question about it. So, it wasn’t as challenging as it could be for a lot of people.”
However, he noted that “this has been the most difficult time of the epidemic.”
“I’ve always been truthful,” Cyrus shared. “And a lot of people, their health broke down during this time. I was one of them. Luckily, I didn’t go back to using any drugs, but I was drinking during the epidemic.”
Cyrus recalled how she started her own Instagram live show early in the lockdown but how soon it “shut down.” As she explained, “Dopamine – rising every day, seeing the number of viewers grow – doesn’t work for me anymore.”
However, Cyrus said she “doesn’t really want to call it pp.” “I’m calling him, I’m sorry,” she explained, “because, for me, he doesn’t really drink – he’s not my monster anymore. But he’s not pushing me. If anything, it’s just that.” I do not reach my full potential, which is unacceptable to me. For example, I will not accept anyone or anything that does not reach my full potential. ”
“I don’t consider myself an alcoholic,” Cyrus said. However, he said not living a healthy life has affected his relationship.
“It really, really affects my relationship,” he said. “I’m not the best partner; I’m not the best daughter; I’m not the best sister. I can be a little unreliable. So if it’s alcoholic – if we don’t measure how much we drink it but how we perform as human beings – Then I would say alcohol is a problem for me because I’m not the best at it. “
