Miley Cyrus paid tribute to The Beatles in her own special way on Saturday.
The 27-year-old “Slide Away” singer performed an enthusiastic performance by the British band “Help!” for the Global Citizen Global Goal: Unite for Our Future virtual concert at a completely empty Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, CA.
With his new pixie-style mullet, Cyrus took acting to the next level by wearing a dazzling couture gown by Alexandre Vauthier inspired by original artwork from The Beatles album for “Help!” band size glamorous makeup.
“I wanted it to stay vibrant and hopeful like the song’s tune,” Cyrus told Vogue about his appearance. “I love how this dress represents ‘Glam Rock’. A little more [David] Bowie Than The Beatles – With A Wink To Dolly [Parton], whose version of ‘Help!’ I used as inspiration for my cover. “
She dedicated her performance “to those who work tirelessly on tests, treatments and vaccines so that we can all meet in places like this empty stadium again.”
Other artists included Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Coldplay, and more.
