Mike Varabel: The Titans have an “offer fur” for Jadevin Clooney

Last year, franchise-tagged defensive end Jadevan Clooney abandoned all se fission workouts, training camps and bias before striking a deal that would facilitate a Labor Day weekend trade from Texans to Seahawks. Clooney could strike in the Labor Day weekend deal for another straight year.

We have offer furTitans coach Mike Varabel told reporters on Friday. “We are in touch with Jadevan. . . And his agent. That’s all I can report. And that’s all I know. ”

The Seahawks are interested in an alliance with Clooney, and the Saints report that they will sign it.

The question is: at what price? Clooney is determined in his efforts to get more than million 15 million on a one-year deal. With regular-season games approaching (and the prospect of a regular-season game disappearing permanently), Clooney may need to take the best offer he can get – unless he’s ready to sit down.

From the team’s point of view, the risk is that Clooney will have injury questions, as he had them in the past. It is more than five years away from microfector surgery, a knee procedure that produces scar tissue that will mimic cartilage. Without cartilage, the knee bone enters the bone position. Last year, a major muscle / groin / sports hernia item mostly boosted Clooney for the season.

But if he’s healthy, Clooney can become a very disruptive force, blowing holes in offensive lines and offensive game plans and allowing the rest of his teammates to play. It was a force of nature last year against the 49ers on Monday night. If he can play consistently this way, it could be the difference between an early playoff exit and a Super Bowl appearance.

A reasonable settlement could be a large salary (maybe 10 million) with the potential to go down to between 15 15 million and 20 20 million depending on playing time or statistics. Regardless, the clone is currently of interest. He will be landing with a new team soon.
