Mike Tyson and Roy Jones return to the ring on Saturday in a junior age fight.
While the fight would be considered a show, both boxing Xing legends don’t seem to be behaving this way with him, trash conversations by the media and both fighters undergoing intensive training to prepare for heavyweight combat. The two have vowed to beat each other.
“Who goes into the ring with the great, legendary Mike Tyson and thinks it’s a show?” Jones said during a press online press conference last month. “Twelve-ounce gloves? No headgear? Really? Is this an exhibition? Come on, Bruh. Be real. ”
Mix Tyson thanks Roy Jones for eating JRS’s ‘ears’ in the video: ‘Tests a lot better than a carrier’
Tyson added: “Not a real fight? We got Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones. I’m coming to fight, and I hope he comes to fight, and you need to know that. “
Tyson, 54, compiled 50-6 records during his career. But he hasn’t fought since June 2005, when he lost to KP McBride by a corner stoppage. Tyson said after the fight that he “doesn’t have the guts to stay in the game anymore.” His last win came in February 2003 against Clifford Etienne.
Jones, 51, completed his boxing career 66-9 with 47 knockouts. His last fight was against Scott Sigmon in February 2018 in which he won by unanimous decision.
The fight is part of Tyson’s Legends Only League, which aims to provide a way for former star athletes to play once again.
Mix Ties told Jim that he ‘wanted to kill’ when he closed his ears when he ‘wanted to kill’ the holy man.
“I’ll go as long as the league is working,” Tyson said. “I’m going to do this, and I’ll help a lot of people, and my legend will be that I gave a lot more than I took.”
The California State Athletic Commission approved it with a number of rules. DZNN noted that the fight would go into an eight, 2-minute round, the fight would stop if there was a cut and no knockouts.
There are many other fights on the card as well. Here’s what to know about the fight.
