We could be seeing the Microsoft Surface Duo foldable phone in a matter of weeks, if a recent regulatory filing is an indication. On Wednesday, Microsoft filed documents for Surface Duo with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, and also applied for the Bluetooth SIG certification, as previously reported by Gizmodo.
An impending release dovetails with a May report in Windows Central that Microsoft was making progress on the holiday launch of Surface Duo 2020. That article also discussed the specs of the device – it will reportedly have a pair of 5.6-inch displays, run on Android 10, and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.
Microsoft announced the Surface Duo last October and He doesn’t want you to call him on the phone.
The company declined to comment on the presentation.
