Microsoft launches Xbox Series X in November

Microsoft is set to launch its next-generation Xbox Series X console in November. The company had previously only confirmed a vague ‘Holiday 2020’ release date for the Xbox Series X, but at least we know the month now.

Microsoft does not provide a specific date, but I was recently told that the first week of November seems to be the startup time for the Xbox Series X. That, of course, could slide further into November with the uncertainty surrounding pandemic-related manufacturing and more.

The release date for November for the Xbox Series X is announced today as Microsoft and 343 Industries make the difficult decision to delay Halo infinite until 2021. Microsoft had plans for the Xbox Series X and Halo infinite at the same time this fall.

It lacks Halo infinite means that there will be no major launch title for the Xbox Series X later this year. Microsoft chooses to mark Xbox Game Pass, in addition to “more than 50 new games” launching this year with optimizations for Xbox Series X. More then 40 existing games will also be optimized for Xbox Series X, which can include everything from hardware-accelerated DirectX-ray tracing, 120fps frame rates, faster load times and Quick Resume support.

Existing backwards compatible games across Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One will also run on the Xbox Series X when it launches in November. We are now waiting to hear exactly when the Xbox Series X will be available, its price, and when people can start ordering from the next-gen console.
