Microsoft is reported to have introduced the Surface Pro X2 in the fall with a new chip and color variant

Microsoft is planning to refresh its ARM-powered Surface Pro X this fall. Windows Central Suggests that the Surface Pro X will be updated to accommodate MicroS.FT’s SQ2 processor, presumably based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8CX General 25G. It’s not clear if this refreshed Surface Pro X will include 5G support, but Qucom Lakom’s latest chip supports the option to include MicroSt.

Microsoft .ft is also rumored to be working on a new color variant for this updated Surface Pro X, which will see the device launch in platinum, especially on the Intel-based Surface Pro line. Microsoft last year launched the Surface Pro X in black with a black type cover. Probably. We’ll see a variety of cover colors for this new Surface Pro X to complement the new Platinum variant.

There are no rumors around any design or significant hardware changes other than the chip update, so it’s likely that the thinner and lighter design introduced last year for the Microsoft Pro X will stick to the X, which struggles with traditional emulated applications.

MicroStft will probably hold an October Surface event to unveil this updated Surface Pro X, along with a rumored small 12.5-inch Surface laptop.
