Microsoft is making Xbox Series X changes following Fan Outrage

Microsoft has made a change to the box office art of Xbox Series X games following fans over the original design. For the box office of Xbox Series X games, Microsoft opted for further continuity between Xbox One and Xbox Series X by providing the two very similar designs of box office. However, there was one big difference between the two, at least first. The biggest difference between the two was the oversized Xbox Series X optimization logo on the front of the box art of each Xbox Series X game.

The optimization logo was so large and striking that many Xbox fans took to Twitter to announce the design, demanding changes. The backlog was so substantial that for a few weeks the optimization logo became a meme format. That said, at the moment it looked like Microsoft would stick with this unpopular design.

Fast-forward a bit, and now it’s now being tackled over the complaints from Xbox fans. The logo is still on every Xbox Series X game, but it will not be on the front. After all, it will be on the back. The result is a much cleaner and more informative front.

Microsoft did not publicly announce the change, but it has been confirmed and shared by industry analyst Daniel Ahmad and others. Below, with Ahmad’s approval, you can check out the new design alongside the previous design:

Of course, a simple change like this is not likely to have a tangible impact on the console’s success, but it’s fun to have Microsoft not only listen to fans, but make adjustments with speed.
