Microsoft will soon release Internet Explorer across all its apps and platforms, marking a major first step on the road to the end of the Internet browser.
What’s happening:
Microsoft plans to end support for Internet Explorer 11 on Microsoft 365 apps and services on August 17, 2021.
- Internet Explorer will no longer be supported through Microsoft apps like Office 365, OneDrive and Outlook.
Microsoft will end support for Microsoft Teams on November 30, 2020.
A new Internet Explorer host mode will be available in the Microsoft Edge browser.
