Microsoft has apparently confirmed a November release for the Xbox Series X ahead of tonight’s Xbox Game Show.
In response to a question from Bloomberg’s Dina Bass in an investor call yesterday, Microsoft Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood stated that the company’s next-generation console is “still on the way” for launch in November.

When asked to clarify whether Hood specifically mentioned November as the launch month for Xbox Series X, Bass stated the following on Twitter.
It was in response to a question of mine and I said “new console” and “November vacation”. His answer was the single word “yes”. July 22, 2020
It wouldn’t be a surprise for the Xbox Series X to land in stores this November, as this would follow the release schedule for all previous Xbox consoles, including Xbox One in 2013.
Officially, however, Microsoft is sticking to its “2020 Vacation” slogan in its marketing for the system for now, but chances are high that a release date will be announced later today. Don’t expect launch news tonight, either, as the Xbox team has reiterated that the Xbox Games Showcase will focus exclusively on games coming to the console.
In the same call, CEO Satya Nadella also promised that “Xbox Series X will launch this fall with the largest launch line for any console.”
I hope tonight’s show lives up to that commitment with many new revelations for upcoming Xbox Series X games beyond Halo Infinite.
