West Bloomfield, Mitch. – Monday is a big day for restaurants in Michigan – After about three months, restaurants may reopen for indoor dining.
However, they can only be at 25% capacity and will have a curfew at 10 p.m.

That is the day that Michigans are patiently and therefore patiently waiting – the return of individual meals.
“We’ve been preparing for this all week and we hope we’re moving in a direction that will work for us,” said Hannah Carter, manager of Pickles and Rye Deli in West Bloomfield.
The restaurant could only open for 25% capacity, but Carter said there would be no problem.
“We kindly spread it nicely with every other booth,” Carter said. “And we have all our tables ready.”

However, Stage Daily owner Steve Goldberg said the crew would wait a bit longer before they opened the dining area doors.
“The dining room for the Jewish Daily is a little more than just food. It’s about energy, it’s about spirit. It’s about Kamaraj, it’s about the neighbors, “Goldberg said. “And with 25% business and masks on the table required, it’s very difficult to get a leave.”
Regardless, the restaurant will still continue and maintain curbside services until it is really more ready on effective returns in normal conditions.
“Since things are easy, we’ll revisit and open when it’s right,” Goldberg said.
It’s not just customers who are willing to come back to the table for a meal, but employees as well.
“We’re building our staff,” Carter said. “Obviously we had to go smaller but now we’ve managed to reach out and we’ve definitely done that with more people joining our team.”
