Michigan 2-month-old COVID-19 dies of birth defects

Earlier this week, Michigan’s chief medical executive, Dr. Jonegh Khaldu announced that the state is the youngest victim of 2-month-old COVID-19 who died this month. She did not elaborate further on the baby, saying only that the newborn “died from covid-19”.

According to reports from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner, the baby died of gastrosis, a congenital defect in which the baby is born with intestines outside its body. The immediate cause of death was “complications caused by gastrosis,” the report said. Both necrotizing enterocolitis and Covid-19 are listed as other important conditions.

However, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner summarized the findings with the statement: “This 2-month-old infant died from COVID-19.”

It is not clear whether the medical examiner indicated that the immediate cause of death was complications of gastrosis, but summarize that the child died from covid-19.

“She had GI symptoms of the disease, which exacerbated her severe congenital defects,” the report said.

CDC Instruct medical examiners to note it as the cause of death for ‘proper tracking of the epidemic’.

The identity of this child identified by the medical examiner’s report is not in this story, it was in Gladstone, Michigan, Upper Peninsula. The report said he was born in Michigan and was sent home and was recovering by Sept. 8.

This is when he had vomiting and diarrhea and was diagnosed with Covid-19. C.S. in Anne Arbor. Mott was brought to Children’s Hospital and then to Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee because there were no beds in Ann Arbor.

On September 13 the infant coded after the development of respiratory symptoms and is believed to be ambitious. The nurse said COVID-19 causes her recent problems.

Dr Khaldu announced the death of the 2-month-old baby on Wednesday, but did not identify the baby by name, gender or location.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of a 2-month-old baby in Michigan this week who was killed by Covid-19,” he said.

The baby’s mother recently posted in a deleted Facebook post that she was angry with the state, saying her baby had died of the virus.

“I’m angry. I’m so angry. If you heard the Michigan State report on Covid this morning, you would have heard that a 2-month-old baby was killed by COVID. [redacted] Kovid did not die. According to Ops Topsy (who told me by phone but not by mail yet), [redacted] It caused an intestinal perforation and an infection … This is directly related to his gastroenteritis. I’m very angry “I am angry at the government for sticking to the numbers and making statistics to benefit my child in their agenda when my family is having trouble,” he wrote.

In Michigan, covid-19 deaths are classified if the person dies within 30 days of being infected with the virus.
