Michael Keaton is not the only ‘Batman’ star that the DCEU reportedly wants to bring back


DC Comics surprised fans with the news that Michael Keaton will return to play Batman at the DCEU. The actor is reportedly in talks to reprise the iconic role in the upcoming movie, The flash. DC has not confirmed that Keaton is returning, but inside sources say he is not the only one. bat Man star that the studio wants to bring back to the DC Extended Universe. Michael Keaton close to reaching a deal with DC

About 30 years have passed since Keaton played the caped crusader in Tim Burton bat ManHowever, the actor is reportedly considering reprising the role at the DCEU. According to The Wrap, Keaton is in negotiations to play an older Bruce Wayne in The flash, starring opposite Miller.

Keaton is reportedly in the early stages of the talks, so there is a possibility that the deal could fail. Unfortunately, DC hasn’t revealed too much detail about the project, but we do know that the main plot will revolve around the concept of the multiverse.

DC has already explored the multiverse at The CW’s Arrowverse. During the last crossover event, fans learned that superheroes in Supergirl
and Black Lightning exist in different universes of the characters in Arrow,
Legends of tomorrowand The flash.

At Crisis in infinite lands argument, DC confirmed that movies like League of Justice and Wonder Woman they are also part of this shared multiverse. In fact, Miller’s version of the classic sprinter had a brief appearance alongside Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen.

Fans also caught a glimpse of Burton’s Gotham City, which was a huge preview that Keaton will return as Batman.

After the news about Keaton, it was only a matter of time before we heard about others bat Man stars that could appear in The flash too. After all, if DC is bringing Keaton back, why not contact some of his former co-stars as well?

With that in mind, an inside source told We Got This Covered that Michelle Pfeiffer is also in talks about playing Catwoman in The flash. Details about Pfeiffer’s involvement have been scant, but there’s no question fans would love to see her in action again.

Pfeiffer portrayed Catwoman in Batman ReturnsKeaton’s second outing as Batman. The film received mixed reviews, but fans really loved Pfeiffer’s portrayal of the character and her commitment to the role.

Catwoman apparently died at the end of the movie, although the final scene showed that she had survived. After the release of the film, there was talk that Pfeiffer had her own spin-off, but that project never took off.

Pfeiffer and Keaton have not commented on the rumors about his return to the DCEU.

What about Michael Keaton’s role in the MCU?

While the news about Keaton (and Pfeiffer) is certainly exciting, some fans are wondering what will become of his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Keaton played the role of Adrian Toomes, also known as the Vulture, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Vulture was put in prison at the end of Homecoming but there has been a lot of talk about the character’s return Spider man 3. Some fans believe that Vulture will play a role in shaping the next villain in the movie, though Marvel has yet to confirm Keaton’s involvement.
