Earlier this month, Android 11 Beta testers were able to take advantage of Bubbles in Messages. Google is now doing official features, such as Smart Reply suggestions for stickers, and recapitulating other recent Messages features.
All of these features were previously detected in beta testing, but have not been announced otherwise. In May, the ability to push a message and react with pleasure, love, laughter, surprise, sadness, anger, or dislike emerged. This works for RCS chats, photos, and videos, with Google making it official today.
Meanwhile, the Smart Message Reply feature will now suggest stickers, in addition to text, based on the last received reply. They appear in the suggestion carousel just above the text field and can be tapped to send. There is a toggle in the setting to enable / disable, but it is currently only available in English.
Google is also highlighting the built-in editor for photos you take directly within the app. You must use the camera’s full-screen user interface, and not the compact one, in order to add text and draw. It is a basic editor with different tools and pencil colors, as well as the ability to save directly to your gallery.
Another recent addition allows you to press and hold the microphone in the lower right corner to start recording an audio message.
