Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro from Carlex Design has flying skulls on the seats

Carlex Design specializes heavily in creating highly personalized interiors for high-end vehicles, and it’s hard to imagine a much wilder look than the one the company installs in the Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro. Remember the insanely popular T-shirts? Ed Hardy and Affliction from the 2000s? This cabin looks a lot like them.

Outside, there is no indication of the strange interior. This AMG GT R Pro actually looks pretty good. Most of the body uses dark green paint that has a brushed finish that provides a sense of speed even when sitting. The entire finish is black and has a matte finish. The wheels are also different and have five sets of three spokes.

Finally it is time to discuss the interior. If you like skulls, then you will love this look. Skulls with wings appear on the cushions and backs of the seats. They are also on the door panels. Roses and a paisley pattern are also part of the design.

The rest of the cabin features dark green leather that matches the color of the exterior. Even seat belts are the same shade.

While I’d be surprised to open the door and see a bunch of winged skulls, we can’t help but wonder what the interior would look like without the ridiculous pattern. The dark green and charcoal mix would be beautiful.

Until the recent debut of the AMG GT Black series, the GT R Pro was the meanest version of the model available. It shares the GT R’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 577 hp (430 kW). The exterior is more aggressive with front corner canards, fender vents, revised rear splitter, and large wing. Manually adjustable dampers and carbon-ceramic brakes come standard. Total production is only 750 units, including 150 from the United States.
