In the Sunday night episode of Big Brother 22, Memphis let us know that Dan beat him in season 10 and Ian beat Dan in season 14. That Memphis would love revenge for his good friend Dan (and I bet it has nothing to do deal with the fact that Memphis could not hit Dan, how could he ever hit who hit Dan) …
Needless to say, Ian looks like a good target for Memphis, who won its first head of the domestic league this week.
The episode of The Big Brother All-Stars picks up right after the Memphis win. David is already sweaty because he has no relationship with Memphis. Janelle does not worry because she and Memphis have a good relationship and they are both old-school players.
Memphis’ first duty to HOH is to announce that the existing have-nots will get to choose who will be the new have-nots this season. I really like this idea. Memphis was a ha-net, so he grabbed first. He goes with David. Ian is up and asking for volunteers. Nicole F volunteers so Ian does not have to stress. Nicole A catches Christmas and Kevin catches Kaysar.
David now knows for sure that he will have to sweat. He said since Memphis mentioned him as a non-sil he will probably be one of his nominees, so will definitely play in the Safety Suite competition this week.
Cody and Memphis meet to discuss upcoming nominations. Memphis says the easy route would be to set up Nicole A and David. But if he wanted to make a move, he could go with Janelle and Kaysar. Or he could go with Ian as an option sooner rather than later. Cody agrees with everything Memphis said. That sounds like the nominees shortlist this week are Nicole A, David, Kaysar, Janelle and Ian.
Of course, the Safety Suite competition could throw a dent in all plans, so Memphis decided to stick to concrete decisions.
The six-person alliance of Memphis and Cody comes together to discuss how they will handle the Safety Suite competition. Memphis wants some of the alliance to play, so it does not seem like they are cooperating. Nicole F and Dani do not want to ruin their Safety Suite this week if they do not have to.
After the group meeting breaks out, Nicole A goes to Memphis to check. He tells her that he does not yet know what he is doing, so he can only recommend that everyone play in the Safety Suite competition. Memphis plays the same hand with Ian. Ian realizes that Memphis wants everyone to play in the league this week, so Memphis has a better shot next week.
When the Safety Suite clock starts ticking, Memphis tells people they need to play, and it works for Kevin. He decides he wants to take his fate into his own hands this week. Nicole A decides to trust her gut and not play. Tyler, Dani and Nicole F do not decide to take one for the team and do not spoil their pass. That leaves Christmas and Cody from the alliance to play in the competition so it doesn’t look too suspicious.
David of course decided to play based on Memphis’ HOH and the Have-Not game. Bayleigh and Da’Vonne also do not feel so comfortable that they decide to play as well. Ian decides he will go for it too.
And after the clock to play runs off, Nicole A asks her if she made a mistake not to sweep her pass. But she made a good point when she said that so many people decided to play, which reduced their chances of winning.
Let’s get to the competition and see who pulls the win. For this week’s competition, the HG’s’ drinks will be served in the BB Bar. ‘They need to deliver some drinks to some wobbly tables and balance so they are not all off. The player with the fastest time wins safety. Everyone takes their turn, and the edit does not give us a hint as to who did it well and who did not. So let’s just check the times.
Results of Safety Suite
Da’Vonne – 8:41
Bayleigh – 2:48
Christmas – 1:38
Kevin – 2:22
Ian – 3:16
Cody – 2:44
David – 2:53
Christmas wins! And she chooses Ian as her plus one. Memphis is not happy that Christmas caught up with Ian for safety. You can see it on his face.
When Memphis later talks to Christmas, he can not hide his disappointment that she chose Ian for safety. He tells her it was not a bad thing because there really was no good or bad choice, really. Memphis has five or six other picks so he can save his Dan revenge for later in the season.
Cody helps Memphis talk about who to go to after Christmas takes Ian off the table. Memphis says he could go ahead and go for Janelle, or he could go to Nicole A because she’s the only no in her alliance who can play in the security seat next week. Let’s find out.
It’s time for the nomination ceremony. Memphis decides to save Janelle and nominates Nicole A and David. He tells Nicole A that he nominated her because she did not play for safety. And he tells David something afterward as if it’s time to sit down at the adult table. In any case, Memphis is burning some bridges this week, so he’s lucky he’s convincing so many people to play in the Safety Suite this week to improve his chances next time.
