During the Royally Obsessed podcast, Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito discussed Pierce Morgan’s comments on Meghan Markle’s voting application after she called on the Duchess of Good Morning Britain to step down due to her political interference. Mrs Fiorito called Mr Morgan’s comments ridiculous, adding that Queen Elizabeth II had previously encouraged people to vote.
Ms Bowie said of Meghan Markle: “She received a lot of feedback from media critics for her comments on the vote.
“Pierce Morgan suggested that Sussex should be stripped of his title and Dan Wooten from The Sun called it completely inappropriate and shameful.
“What’s going on?”
Mrs Fiorito replied: “I think that’s ridiculous.

“The Queen had previously encouraged people to vote.
“This is nothing new and it is not biased. Meghan is just saying vote, which is really important for everyone to vote.”
Mrs Bowie added: “She has never endorsed any candidate, while you can point out which candidate you are voting for.
“Obviously she didn’t come out and say in public, she was politically neutral.”
Pierce Morgan tweeted in response: “The Queen must strip Sussex of her title. They can’t live up to the Royals and fight over foreign elections in a bizarre partisan manner. “
He added: “The last time I checked he still calls himself the Duchess of Sussex. “
Mr Morgan said in a separate tweet: “She can do whatever she chooses, she cannot make politically biased statements while remaining the Duchess of Sussex.
“The Royals are not allowed to do that. If Meghan and Harry really want ‘freedom’ from royal duty and rules, they should stop trading their royal title.”
