A tearful Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram Live on Monday afternoon to thank her fans, assault her enemies, and briefly talk about the July 12 incident during which she says she was shot in her feet. That night, she and another woman were in a car with rapper Tory Lanez when he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. Initial reports said Megan had cut her feet with broken glass in the car, but then said she had been shot in the feet; Surveillance footage of the incident shows her limping from the vehicle and leaving bloody footprints.
“I just want them to know that a bitch is alive and well and strong as f, and ready to go back to my regular schedule,” she said at the end of the session.
Wearing a bright white blouse and neatly combed hair, she began by saying, “I really just wanted to get in here, and I’m smiling even though a lot of things have been, you know … making me not smile, but I’m ‘back. … and I see a lot of people making false narratives and making up stories, but I also see a lot of people who support me and send sentences and I really appreciate that, “he began, before continuing with the information he has said before but not in as much detail.
“I was shot in both feet and I had to have surgery to get the sh- – to get the bullets out, and it was super scary,” he said when he started crying and fanning himself. “Oh, I didn’t think I was going to cry … It was the worst experience of my life and it’s not funny, it’s nothing to joke about and nothing for them to go and make false stories. I didn’t lay my hands on anyone who didn’t deserve getting shot.
“And thank God the bullets didn’t touch bones or break tendons,” he continued. “When the bullets hit, they lost everything, but the mothers were there.”
He then apparently transitioned to discuss why he initially did not tell the police what had happened. “And it wasn’t that I was protecting anyone, I just wasn’t ready to talk,” she said. “You take your whole life to Instagram and Twitter and make it a newspaper, and that’s not me. I have never seen so many men touch something other than their mother’s in the business. What if your sister was shot?
Apparently, the post was made in response to a TMZ report over the weekend in which a source said hospital records show Megan underwent surgery for a “gunshot wound” when she was admitted to Cedars Hospital- Los Angeles Sinai, though more details were unclear. Los Angeles police confirmed that they opened an investigation into the incident based on Megan’s comments.
