“Starting this week, you will see executive orders, you will see businesses that actually advance from the Oval Office when Congress does not act,” Meadows told “Fox & Friends.”

Meadows, who was giving his first televised interview since taking the job in March, offered few details about each of the orders or when they would be signed.

The president would seek to address the United States’ manufacturing relationship with China to ensure that American workers have priority, Meadows said.

Trump was also expected to sign immigration actions. The president last month signed an executive order suspending certain work visas for the rest of the year.

And the president is expected to focus at least one executive order on prescription drugs, Meadows said. The White House has supported efforts by Congress to reduce drug prices, but the chances of the legislation being passed this year have decreased in recent days.
