Meadows claims Pelosi ‘wants to hide Biden instead of debate, because’ 47 years of rhetoric is all he has’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, suggested that Joe Biden not debate President Trump on Thursday because she would rather stay at home than defend “47 years of rhetoric,” White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told The Story on Thursday.

“It’s obvious what they want to do. They want to try to hide the vice president … in the basement for as long as they can, so there are no hard questions … in the hope that they people can hoodwink, ”Meadows told host Martha MacCallum.

PELOSI SAYS BIDDEN SHOULD NOT DEBATE TRUMP: ‘I would not legitimize a conversation with him’

Meanwhile, Meadows added, Pelosi continues to deny his attempt to negotiate another bill for coronavirus.

The former North Carolina congressman described a phone call to the House Speaker as “25 minutes of nothing … she hopes she can tell her story just as Joe Biden hopes to tell his story.”

“Forty-seven years of service and you have two bills that the vice president actually passed on, one of which he is leaving and that we need to repair,” Meadows said. “Give me the achievements of the first 100 days of this President to the achievements of the last 47 years.”
