Plano City Council will vote on the mask ordinance at the emergency meeting
McKINNEY, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – McKinney Mayor George Fuller announced a new mask requirement Monday afternoon for businesses and nonprofits.
It will take effect on Wednesday, July 1 at 12:01 pm
Exceptions are established for when the masks interfere with the performance of services (such as a facial) or the consumption of goods (eating in a restaurant).

“The Policy must require, as a minimum, that all employees and visitors to the entity’s commercial facilities or other facilities wear facial covers that cover the nose and mouth when they are in an area or while performing an activity that will necessarily involve Close contact or proximity to co-workers or the public, “the statement states.” The Policy may allow people with an operational need to remove a facial covering as long as such operational needs are specifically addressed in the Policy. “

Mayor Fuller’s 19-year-old daughter tested positive for COVID-19 in April.
Also in late March, Mayor Fuller imposed a shelter-in-place order that was challenged in court. The judge eventually dismissed the lawsuit.
