“He has not taken a deep dive into the statements of these two particular women,” McEnany said in a White House news release. “I do not know if he has seen that himself, but he supports the Muslim community and he supports the faith more broadly in this country.”

Loomer has been banned from Twitter and Facebook for her racist remarks, including calling Islam a ‘cancer on humanity’. She’s also banned from Uber and Lyft and, according to to CNN, once tweeted that “someone should create a non-Islamic form of Uber or Lyft because I never want to support another Islamic immigrant broadcaster.”

POLITICO received in June videos of Greene committing racist tirades against Black people, Jews and Muslims. Chamber of Republican Leadership condemned the videos shortly thereafter. Greene has also been a vocal supporter of the QAnon conspiracy theory – a widespread fabrication that members of the so-called deep state run a child section that Trump is working to dismantle.

Despite their racist remarks, Loomer and Greene secured their party’s nomination in their Florida and Georgia districts. In his congratulatory tweets, Trump rôp Greene a “future Republican star” and a “real WINNER!” For Loomer, he tweeted: “Great Laura. You have a great chance against a Pelosi puppet! Loomer will face Democratic Rep. Lois Frankel in the general election.
