McDonald’s plans to test the meat-free burger as part of the MacPlant menu options it expects to debut next year, it was confirmed in a blog post on Monday. An executive for the fast food chain told CNBC that the McPlant was “built by McDonald’s and McDonald’s,” but apparently refused to identify their supplier.
In an email to CNET, the company noted that it has not announced which suppliers it will work with on the MacPlant.
