McCloskeys warn violence and riots will ‘come near you’

Violence and riots will not be limited to the cities of America, Mark McCloskey said next to his wife, Patricia, on Monday openly about her support for President Trump and is criticized for protecting her home.

“We have given God a right to defend himself. The right to self-defense is one of the most basic civil rights – one of the most basic human rights’ Mark McCloskey told “Fox & Friends” when asked to exemplify the speech of the Republican National Convention on Monday.

“You can not have freedom and an opportunity to move forward unless you have basic safety and security, and that it is not limited to big cities. They bring it to a neighborhood near you, “McCloskey said.

The McCloskeys received media attention for carrying weapons while standing outside their home as Black Lives Matter protesters walked through their neighborhood, allegedly trespassing in a private street. The couple were caught on camera with guns to the group of Protestants who were marching to the mayor’s residence.

The couple, advocates for personal injuries, defended themselves, saying they were standing on a private street and feared for their lives.

They were later accused of crimes involving the lawful use of a weapon.

Circuit attorney Kim Gardner told the Associated Press that her actions risked creating a violent situation during an otherwise nonviolent protest last month.

This caught the attention of several Republican leaders who condemned Gardner’s investigation, including President Donald Trump, Missouri Governor Mike Parson and Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Who urged Attorney General William Barr to to undertake Gardner’s civil rights investigation.

Responding to the accusations filed against her, Patricia McCloskey said: “In a quiet neighborhood, you think you have the right to defend yourself and your family, and it’s shocking that we still have the fallout and we and we will have years to follow. “

“The lack of law and order and lawlessness is something that is now out of control in this country. But I think they are just protecting themselves, “Mark added.

“This is a prosecutor who has a remarkably low persecution rate, a remarkably low conviction rate, and I think they’re just trying to set an example from anyone who’s willing to stand up against inherent violence and lawlessness in St. Louis. “Mark said.
