The actress, who played Quinn Fabray in the series, wrote a long tribute to Rivera through Instagram.
“Naya and I moved forward so easily that she was my first friend and ally in our program. In the pilot, our characters came and went so quickly. Our enthusiasm was full of the unknown. We tried to understand what the other cast members must have felt as we worked in such separate ways. We dared to dream. What if this show worked? Wouldn’t that be something? Something was overflowing, it was palpable. And thank God it worked. Naya’s magnetic talent was going to be unleashed, we just didn’t know it yet, “Agron wrote, adding that she found” great joy “by revisiting Rivera’s performances on Glee.
She continued: “Working with her was a gift. There was a lot to absorb: her work ethic, her bravery, her talent, supreme. Naya had a laugh that would envelop you and hold you captive. She was hypnotizing. That sparkle in her eyes, her bright smile. Lead naya [SIC] with truth, humor, wit. I loved her for all these reasons. “
Agron also detailed a pleasant memory with Rivera during a trip to Paris.
“I loved his sense of curiosity and passion for travel,” he wrote. “I was fortunate to be his traveling companion on some of my favorite adventures. As I write this, I am smiling with memories of a spontaneous 36-hour excursion, one might even say fun, to Paris. With Naya, anything was possible and often just unfolded before us, almost magically. On this particular excursion, ten minutes after checking into our hotel, we found ourselves strolling through the corridors of L’École des Beaux-Arts, drinking wine from paper cups with students showing off their latest work. It was fantastic. We were united in our commitment to discovery. And there was always a list of cleverly selected ideas in Naya’s back pocket, in case we need it. ”
She concluded: “I cannot understand this tremendous loss. I will stay with her and these memories for the rest of the time, together with our Glee family. Please keep space for her, her family, her beautiful child. “Not at all, loving memory.”
