Mathew Mitchell recovers from successful brain surgery

The Kentucky women’s basketball coach is recovering from brain surgery. Matthew Mitchell’s wife Jenna revealed in a Facebook post that her husband was recently buried at the UK Hospital after blood was discovered in his brain.

“About four months ago, he fell and had a concussion, it didn’t go well for a couple of weeks, and then it was great,” he shared. “Then, about two weeks later, they went to the hospital with a mild but persistent headache and found that he had blood in his brain and that he needed surgery (subdural hematoma). Everything went well and he is in the process of being repaired!
