The UK may be ahead of its European neighbors in vaccinating its population, but the Brits could face “many years” if public health experts find their way.
New cases of Covid-19 in the UK have dropped tenfold since early January, and more than 27 million Britons – more than half of the adult population – have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Compared to the growing number of cases on the continent and the average vaccination rate in the European Union is around 10%, the UK seems to be winning its battle against Covid-19.
The Brits, however, wanting to be totally free from the country’s punitive lockdown cannot hold their breath.
