Mary Fitzgerald had been married to Romain Bonnet for almost two years before their TV marriage

Mary Fitzgerald tied the knot with her fiancé Romain Bonnet to the second season finale of her Netflix reality show Selling Sunset.

But the famous couple was misleading about their nuptials, as they had been legally married for months before the series began filming the first season, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The couple’s marriage license and marriage certificate show that the two were married on March 9, 2018 at a courthouse in Ventura.

Mary would not start filming Selling Sunset until June 2018.

The marriage documents show that a deputy commissioner of civil marriage has an officer, while a woman named Nicole Young was named as the witness.

Despite being legally married, the first season includes a scene in which Romain, a French model, introduces himself to his wife.

The updated timeline about her marriage suggests that much of the show dedicated to Mary’s relationship and her preparation for marriage was introduced for the benefit of viewers.

A representative for the couple offered an explanation for the confusing timelines for marriage.

‘Mary and Romain had a civil union for a few months before the show started filming in June 2018, but she chose not to tell any of her friends or family because they were still trying to see if their relationship would work out in ‘long term,’ they explain to Us Weekly.

‘In their minds, they were not well married until the wedding that was filmed during the show.’

Although her rep referred to her marriage, the third for Mary, as a ‘civil union’, a marital status that provides the same benefits to the state but none of the federal benefits of marriage, the certificate issued by TMZ appears a marriage certificate, and California does not offer civil unions.

Mary and Romain’s screen time in season one should bring them closer and develop their relationship, and he introduced them at the end of the season.

The chaotic wedding of the Oppenheim group realtor was presented in the second season, but she was left scrambled after her wedding fell through with only a week left until the planned ceremony in October 2019.

The day was saved after one of her wealthy clients offered her the use of his lavish home for her second round of nuptials.

The planning and their relationship also caused a rift between Mary and her colleague Davina Potratz, after Romain would not allow her to be invited after they had trouble making out.

Mary’s colleague, Christine Quinn, with whom she walks in and out, has almost uncovered the secret marriage during a joint birthday party for Mary and her colleague Chrishell Stause.

Romain said the couple had been together a little over a year after the women asked him about their relationship, and Christine asked if he thought he and Mary would get married in the future, but the already married model acted as if he was not wis.

Mary and Christine recently tried to reunite their one-time friendship, according to recent interviews.

Although Mary said she fell out of touch with David Yontef podcast during a recent appearance on the Behind The Velvet Rope, Christine appeared in her own recent appearance that the two were on friendly terms again.

She revealed that Mary had her FaceTimed a few days before a recent Glamor interview to bury the brooch.

‘I was like, is this a push button? I could not believe she was calling me, I was actually moving a work meeting because I wanted to talk to her, ‘Christine said.

‘That, she and I sat for a good hour and a half on FaceTime. And then, you know, we just decided, let’s get together like, let’s do this. It was so fun because it was something that waited for me for so long. I do not know why we let this stupid thing get in the way of the solid friendship we have. I’m glad we came to a really great place. ‘
