Despite the opposite speculation, Chris Evans is unlikely to repay his role as Captain America.

Reports surfaced in January that Chris Evans would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Steve Rogers after potentially retiring the character in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

In response to the rumors, the 39-year-old actor tweeted at the time, ‘I have news’.

Now Marvel Studios president Kevin Fij has closed the reports during an interview with EW that was announced on Wednesday.

“I rarely answer anything now because things always surprise me with what happens, but I think that rumor was quickly dispelled by the man himself,” he said.

It seems clear that fans shouldn’t expect to see Evans when the spin series F-Series The Falcon and Winter Soldier premiere on Friday.

The news comes on the same day that Marvel Comics announced the first gay Captain America on Tuesday. He will enter United States Captain America # 1 during the month of Pride in June.

The new character is named Aaron Fisher and represents the first LGBTQ person to choose the shield of a hero in the 80-year history of comedy.

The comics giant comes to the fore as it expands its increasingly diverse roster of characters.
