Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden arrested on domestic violence charges in Los Angeles

Maroon 5 bassist Mickey Madden has been arrested on charges of domestic violence.
The musician was hired Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles under penal code 273.5 (a), which is described as “intentionally inflicting traumatic injury on a spouse or cohabitant,” Los Angeles police confirmed on page six.
Madden, 41, is not married and the identity of the alleged victim has not been released.

Madden was released after posting $ 50,000 bail, the website reports. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and a $ 6,000 fine.
A spokesperson for Maroon 5 said: ‘We are deeply devastated by this disappointing news. As we learn more, we are looking at this very seriously.
“For now, we are allowing everyone involved to have room to work.”
It is not the first time that Madden has had trouble with the law. He was arrested on cocaine charges in 2016.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Madden was arrested under Penal Code 273.5 (a), which is described as ‘intentionally inflicting traumatic injury on a spouse or partner.’
Madden was with James ‘Bingo’ Gubelmann, Ivanka Trump’s ex-boyfriend, outside a bar in New York when police say they saw Madden hand him a bottle of drugs.
At the time, Madden’s attorney told the New York Daily News that it was Gubelmann who used the cocaine all the time, and that his client never touched the vial.
‘He was purely innocent. He had no narcotics. The guy I was with did it but didn’t.

It is not the first time that Madden has had trouble with the law. He was arrested on cocaine charges in 2016. He served a day of community service.
Then he added; ‘He’s a good guy. He is not someone who has had any interaction with the law before.
Madden agreed to do a day of community service after appearing at the Manhattan Criminal Court, and his record was removed six months later.
Meanwhile, Gubelmann agreed to enter a treatment preparation program.
Madden has been playing with Adam Levine and Maroon 5 since its early days. He also played with the band in the 1990s, before they found fame and were known as Kara’s Flowers.
