Mariah Carey launches ‘Rarities’ collection in collaboration with Lauryn Hill

Mariah Carey brings a sunny day after 2020. The diva throws down an album with deep cuts, The Rarities, on October 2nd.

The new LP will be a frenetic release schedule for Mariah. It is planned to drop shortly after its release The Meaning of Mariah Carey, a memoir set to arrive Sept. 29.

“This is for you, my fans,” she says of The Rarities. ‘It is to celebrate us and thank you for years of pure love and support. I’m so grateful to you. ”

The 15-track album will feature the previously unreleased “Save The Day” featuring Lauryn Hill. A bonus set will include 17 recordings that were cut live at the Tokyo Dome in the 1990s, including “Emotions,” “Open Arms,” ”Forever,” and “Fantasy.”

Pre-orders and pre-saves are here.

The pop icon topped the collection in June as she celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of her self-titled debut album.

“I had plans to share some surprises and rarities with you,” she wrote on social media, “but rather postpone them to a later date.”

Carey has kept her fans extra-loving the last few days. She just released four remix EPs from 1995 Day of the day period as part of the ongoing # MC30 celebrations, as well as a performance of “Open Arms” by Top of the Pops in 1996.
