Marcus Rashford representatives responded to criticism of Manchester United players

Marcus Rashford’s representatives responded to claims that the striker is currently underperforming for Manchester United.

England international Rashford has come under fire for his performances in recent weeks with the striker struggling to find his best form since returning from a serious injury. Rashford’s best performance since the restart came in last week’s win against Crystal Palace, but then he fought Chelsea and West Ham.

Rashford spent nearly six months on the sidelines after suffering a double stress fracture in the back in January, but returned to United when the Premier League resumed last month.

The 22-year-old is enjoying his best season against goal for United, but has scored only three times since English football returned a month ago.

Rashford was poor during United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Wednesday night and after the game, former defender Patrice Evra criticized the striker for his display.

“People say a lot about Paul Pogba, using a lot of harsh words,” he said full time. “I didn’t see any harsh words about Marcus Rashford, because Rashford had a bad game today.”

Rashford representatives, DN May Sports Management, have now responded to criticism and reiterated the severity of the injury he suffered earlier in the year.

“Many said about Marcus’ physical condition yesterday,” they tweeted Thursday. “The incredible thing is that I am sure that the boy is recovering his physical state after an injury that could end his career. United is a team that wins and loses together.”
