Mapping of coronavirus cases in Los Angeles – NBC Los Angeles

As the process of distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to millions of residents began, health officials say the county is still in the midst of a dangerous surge in cases and we are looking into the number of cases by LA neighbors.

The initial dose of the vaccine will be strictly prescribed for health care workers and employees and residents of long-term care facilities. The county expects to receive approximately 83,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine early next week, followed by the allocation of nine ultra-cold storage sites for subsequent delivery to ultrament act-care hospitals.

Those hospitals then went to the U.S. for disease control and prevention. Dose administration will be preferred following the developed state guidelines with the advice of the centers. Vaccines for long-term care staff and residents will be distributed through federal agreements with CVS and Walgreens.

Simon said that after the initial delivery, the county expects to receive about 250,000 more doses the following week, and 150,000 the following week, with weekly deliveries of 250,000 doses in the new year.
