Manchester United fans can’t believe Anthony Martial has been named on the bench for today’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
United are looking to reserve their place against Arsenal in the final with a victory against Frank Lampard’s men. United have already beaten Chelsea three times this season and are undefeated in their last 19 matches in all competitions.
With United still battling for a place in the top four, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rested several players for the game at Wembley, with Martial, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba falling to the bench.
Daniel James steps aside and is expected to partner with Marcus Rashford up front, supported by a midfield trio of Bruno Fernandes, Fred and Nemanja Matic.
Martial is enjoying his best season to date for United and fans are baffled by the decision to put him on such an important bench.
The Frenchman has a history in the FA Cup semifinals, scoring and assisting in a 2-1 victory against Everton in 2016, and fans feel that Solskjaer has taken a huge risk by not starting the fit forward.
