Man killed, 7-year-old injured in shooting at Arlington youth football game


Jacksonville, FLA. – A man was killed and a 7-year-old boy was injured in a shooting at a football game in the Arlington Athletic Association area next to Arlington Heights Elementary School, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened just after 6 p.m., witnesses told police, the gray SUV pulled over the farm, a man wearing a gray hoodie and mask got out of the vehicle and shot the victims.

Many shots can be heard on the video of the game obtained by News4Jacks. The video shows players descending on the field and the crowd starting to run.

Police said both victims were taken to hospital, where the man died. The boy sustained fatal injuries.

Researchers believe that both are related and can be father and son.
