Raleigh, N.C. – A man accused of threatening others with chainsaws at the Raleigh Hotel is in custody.
Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Raleigh police said they had “a suspect in custody regarding the incident.”
Police cordoned off the Red Roof Inn on South Sanders Street in response to a noisy call at 9:15 p.m. Saturday.
The man threatened several people, but no one was injured. Police said the man used chainsaws for the victims. The suspect eventually left the hotel in a black sedan.
Security footage showed a man dressed in a dark green beige cap, long white coat, dark jeans and white shoes.
The motive surrounding man’s actions is not known. Suspected kidnapping, aggravated assault and attempting to damage property.
