Marquise Love was arrested Friday morning, accused of having Adam Haner during a BLM protest in Portland. He is pictured in his latest mugshot
The Black Lives Matter protester who is suspected of brutally abusing a bystander during a demonstration in Portland has been arrested.
Marquise Love, 25, turned himself in to police Friday morning following a city-wide manhunt that lasted four days.
Online records show that he is now accused of misconduct, unlawful coercion and criminal restraint. Bail is set at $ 260,000.
Love is accused of punching and kicking Adam Haner in the head after he was accidentally caught in a protest on Sunday night.
Haner crashed his pick-up truck on a sidewalk near the demonstration before being pulled out of the car and beaten.
Video footage showed a man – believed to be Love – stabbing Haner unconsciously. The victim also suffered two black eyes in the brutal clot.
Love already has a long criminal record that includes charges for domestic assault, interfering with public transportation, driving without a license, domestic harassment and guns for guns.
In a statement Friday, Portland Police Chief confirmed the arrest but did not say what provoked Love to surrender himself.
“I am pleased that the defendant turned himself in in this matter and appreciate all the efforts made to facilitate this safe resolution,” he stated.
‘Thank you to all the members of the public who have provided information and tips to our researchers. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. ‘

After Haner was cut off by the trap, other protesters came to sneer at his motionless body and screamed obscenities
Movies of the beating of Haner have brought anger to the internet since it first started circulating on Sunday.
The video shows protesters throwing Haner out of his truck and throwing him to the ground. The BLM protesters seem to believe he deliberately plowed his car into them.
Hanner, who blew his head professionally, was ordered to sit on the ground and told ‘wait for police to arrive.’
However, he was slapped by a cruel kiss on the side of his head. The trap was made clean by Love.
As he lay unconscious on the ground, rumors of ‘Black Lives Matter’ were heard while other Protestants tried to provide first aid.
Others began robbing the man’s truck and when questioned by bystanders, they explained that they were simply ‘checking on weapons’.
Haner was taken to hospital after being kicked. He has since been released and has been reinstated, police said
On Wednesday, after he was released from the hospital, Haner uploaded a photo with the injuries he sustained in the attack.
The incident apparently began when Haner and his girlfriend, Tammie Martin, drove through Portland Sunday night in his truck. They all saw a transgender woman mingle and stop to help.
“He [Haner] tried to help and they called him a white supremacist, ‘Martin told local news network, Fox 12.
At that point, Haner jumped back into the truck, but he was allegedly chased by Protestants and his car mounted a sidewalk.
He was allegedly pulled from the truck and driven away. Martin says she was also attacked.
“They were just looking for a fight,” Martin stated.
‘They tried to fight people. They were just looking to fight someone. ‘
Some Protestants, however, say Haner was an agitator who deliberately advised the crowds to raise issues.
A look at his recent social media activity revealed that he shared memes with pleasure in protest at Black Lives Matter.
One of his messages read: ‘Would it be wrong to track down assailants at home and burn their properties? Ask for a friend. ‘
Haner has deliberately refused to provoke the Protestants.
On Thursday night, police also released a photo of an eyewitness, asking him to come forward and say he might be able to provide more information about the attack.

On Thursday night, police also released a photo of an eyewitness, asking him to come forward and say he might be able to provide more information about the attack.
David Hernandez, who shot the graphic footage, says he believes Haner was in the wrong place at just the wrong time.
“I think he just felt extremely threatened,” Hernandez said in an interview.
‘They chased him … until he finally crashed. When they finally caught up with him, they went nuts.
“It simply came to our notice then. Sometimes I forget walking the streets of an American city in the Northwest. Sometimes it feels like you’re walking into a Third World county. ‘
Meanwhile, before his arrest on Friday, Love had posted messages on Snapchat, according to The Sun.
In one of the messages he can be seen asking followers for money in case he is arrested for the attack on Haner.
‘May I go to jail for murder for a racist last night when all I did was fight against him coming up on twitter putting money on my books and watching me,’ he apparently posted from his Snapchat account, next a selfie.
While he was fighting, Love, 25, took to Snapchat to ask for money in case he was caught and jailed for Haner’s alleged battle.
The arrest comes after another wild night in Portland, in which Protestants tried to smash into an ICE building and clashed with federal agents on the 84th day of violence in the city.
Demonstrations that are often violent have gripped Oregon’s largest city for more than two months after the murder of George Floyd police in Minneapolis.
Cops fired tear gas to disperse the crowd after protesters slammed windows on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement complex window and spray-painted explosives on the walls.
Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck, throwing glass bottles and ‘softball-sized rocks’ at police officers who left the ICE building, and two people were arrested before being released after 1am. Two arrests were made on charges of ‘interfering with a peace officer and disorderly conduct’, police said.
The Portland police officer pleads with protesters to call for “endless destruction” because he condemned the “senseless criminal activity” in the city. Officers sustained minor injuries Wednesday, a police statement said, without indicating how many were injured.
