(CNN) – 1,200 Pizza Huts operator and nearly 400 Wendy’s restaurants declare bankruptcy
NPC International, Pizza Hut’s largest franchisee, introduced Chapter 11 on Wednesday.
The group has been struggling with pandemic-related closings, rising labor and food costs, and massive debt of nearly $ 1 billion.
The APN says it employs nearly 40,000 people in 27 states. The company’s restaurants will continue to operate as you navigate the bankruptcy process, and you look forward to continuing to pay and provide the usual benefits to your employees.

NPC is just one of several US companies that filed for bankruptcy during the COVID-19 pandemic. 24-Hour Fitness, Neiman Marcus, and J Crew have performed in the past two months.
