Maini cases of Covid-19 linked to wedding reception reach 147, killing 3

Three people involved in the epidemic have died from the virus, Robert Long, a spokesman for the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, told CNN.

Since the wedding took place in Milinocet on Mill Gust Mill, there has been a nursing home and prison spread over 100 miles from these places.

Till Thursday the investigation into the wedding outbreak was still a case in point between the guests and their secondary and tertiary contacts. Secondary contacts are people who have close contact with the participant and third contacts are people who have close contact with the secondary.

There are 4,667 cases of coronavirus in the state and 134 people have died as of Friday, according to the Maine Covid-19 website.

Covid case in prison and nursing home

The state agency announced last week that the marriage-linked outbreak has reopened Madison’s Maplecrest Rehabilitation and Living Center and York County Jail in Alfred.

Fifty-two people attached to York County Jail have tested positive for the virus, Long said Thursday. Of these, 46 are inmates, 19 work in the prison and seven are members of the prison staff’s household.

Hand sanitizers are still considered banned in some prisons in the country

The prison is 220 miles from the reception site. The Maine CDC began investigating the prison outbreak on August 21.

The outbreak occurred at the Maplecrest Rehab Center in Medicine, about 100 miles from the wedding venue, according to the Maine CDC.

An employee of a nursing home is a secondary case associated with the outbreak of marriage. Sixteen people from MapleCrest have tested positive, including that person.

“The one we’re dealing with is a huge tube of glitter. You open a glitter tube in your basement. Two weeks later you’re in the attic and what you see is glitter and you have no idea how it got there.” Dira.Nirav Shah said on 25 August Gust.

“It’s like the Covid-19. You open the glitter in the Millennial and the next thing you know you can find it in the York County prison complex. It’s just a symbol of how quickly, peacefully and effectively it spreads.”

According to the Maine CDC, the wedding guests attended the reception at the Big Moose Inn. Big Moose Inn is a 37-acre property that includes restaurants, cabins and campgrounds near Baxter State Park. The inn has hosted weddings since the 1970s and according to its website, its Frederica restaurant can accommodate up to 100 guests.

Maine is investigating other issues of affiliation with the CDC group, including a ceremony at the Tri-Town Baptist Church, Shah said last week.

The man died two days after the Indian wedding, infecting 80 people with coronavirus
The Maine CDC said there were approximately 65 guests at the wedding reception, with 50 people in the state wearing hats for indoor events. The agency signaled an imminent health crisis to the owners of Big Moose Inn on Thursday for the breach, it said.

In defense, Big Moose in Staff said they misinterpreted state regulations regarding social distance, 29 CN Gust said in a statement sent to CNN.

“We understand that our largest room cannot have more than 50 persons. We have erred in interpreting that rule,” the venue said in a statement. “Our interpretation was that we could have a wedding party for more than 50 people, and divide them between two rooms as long as it did not exceed our total capacity or the capacity of a particular room.”

CNN’s Sheena Jones, Lure Ren del Valle, Anna Sturla, Rebecca Rise, Laura Lee and Dave Alsoupe contributed to the report.
