Since the wedding took place in Milinocet on Mill Gust Mill, there has been a nursing home and prison spread over 100 miles from these places.
Till Thursday the investigation into the wedding outbreak was still a case in point between the guests and their secondary and tertiary contacts. Secondary contacts are people who have close contact with the participant and third contacts are people who have close contact with the secondary.
Covid case in prison and nursing home
The state agency announced last week that the marriage-linked outbreak has reopened Madison’s Maplecrest Rehabilitation and Living Center and York County Jail in Alfred.
Fifty-two people attached to York County Jail have tested positive for the virus, Long said Thursday. Of these, 46 are inmates, 19 work in the prison and seven are members of the prison staff’s household.
The prison is 220 miles from the reception site. The Maine CDC began investigating the prison outbreak on August 21.
The outbreak occurred at the Maplecrest Rehab Center in Medicine, about 100 miles from the wedding venue, according to the Maine CDC.
An employee of a nursing home is a secondary case associated with the outbreak of marriage. Sixteen people from MapleCrest have tested positive, including that person.
“It’s like the Covid-19. You open the glitter in the Millennial and the next thing you know you can find it in the York County prison complex. It’s just a symbol of how quickly, peacefully and effectively it spreads.”
Cited wedding venue
Maine is investigating other issues of affiliation with the CDC group, including a ceremony at the Tri-Town Baptist Church, Shah said last week.
In defense, Big Moose in Staff said they misinterpreted state regulations regarding social distance, 29 CN Gust said in a statement sent to CNN.
“We understand that our largest room cannot have more than 50 persons. We have erred in interpreting that rule,” the venue said in a statement. “Our interpretation was that we could have a wedding party for more than 50 people, and divide them between two rooms as long as it did not exceed our total capacity or the capacity of a particular room.”
CNN’s Sheena Jones, Lure Ren del Valle, Anna Sturla, Rebecca Rise, Laura Lee and Dave Alsoupe contributed to the report.
